Your environnement :



Located in Paris (Rueil Malmaison), Schneider Electric headquarters, you will report to the Chief Strategy Officer of Schneider.



The Director is a key member of the Corporate Strategy team, which comprises around 15 persons, located across the 3 hubs of Schneider (Singapore, Paris, Boston). You will manage a team of 4 Financial analyst.





Your role :



Your purpose is to give full visibility to our Excom leaders on our competition's financial performance and market trends through constant monitoring of a list of 25 key market players.





Your missions :




  • Business intelligence:


    • Monitor competitors’ financial publications including: press release, Capital Market Days and quarterly results and derive:


      • Insights for Schneider Electric’s businesses

      • Oversee the formulation of hypotheses for investigation and analysis of Schneider Electric, competitors, and market data



    • Act as a key content lead and project lead for competitive benchmarking

    • Develop deep dives into the strategic, financial and operational activities of key competitors

    • Perform financial research activities to obtain relevant data and define needs or problems, in collaboration with (i) other corporate strategy team members, (ii) other individuals within Divisions / Regions of Schneider Electric or (iii) external consultants or research institutes



  • Management & stakeholders’ interactions:

    • Interact with executive committee members: prepare and present concise and insightful written and oral reports of findings

    • Coach & train Strategic Intelligence Analysts (interns, junior & senior) in the team

    • Actively spar with internal stakeholders on key KPIs to compare Schneider Electric’s performance to others

    • Educate Schneider Electric community on financial reporting and KPIs

    • Manage key data supplier relationships 







Qualifications:




  • Master's degree in Corporate Finance obtained in a top-tier institution (a specialisation in Strategy would be appreciated

  • Work experience: minimum 10 years of total previous work experience, including :

    • 5+ years in external financial audit function (e.g. Senior Manager in the Big Five)

    • 3+ years post MBA consulting experience or Corporate strategy role



  • A previous experience managing an international team

  • Previous work experience in Industrials / Capital Goods is not a requirement. Experience in Digital transformation in B2B or B2C environments is a plus.

  • Languages: perfect fluency in spoken and written English; French would be a plus

  • Excellent financial literacy: understanding of a P&L and Balance Sheet

  • Strong analytical skills: ability to learn, screen and quickly absorb information on various topics from multiple sources and synthesize it to make meaningful recommendations

  • Strong organization and project planning skills: structured way of working; ability to work under time pressure and with a global team across time zones; strong attention to detail

  • Good interpersonal skills: ability to liaise with counterparts from different parts of the organization, including senior executives
