Purpose of the position
As Segment & Solutions Business Developer for Universal Enclosures, you are the global leader and responsible for the technical design of solutions to support sales development on New Energy Landscape Segments such as Power & Grid (Solar, Wind, Green H2), EV Infrastructure and Data Centers in coordination with the sales organization worldwide.
You will become a market expert for the organization, providing expertise and strategic orientations to shape best-in-class solution and architectures to support the business development of strategic segments in a context of commercial transformation.
You will be the single point of contact for the solutions’ deployment within the different targeted accounts at global level and mostly via the country operations’ commercial set-up. You will work together with both Global and Local stakeholders including Sales Account Executives, Sales Directors & Representatives, and liaise with our Corporate Segment Experts, and our in-plant Technical Design Offices in France.
The ideal candidate for the Segment & Solutions Business Development role at Universal Enclosures should have a strong strategic mindset and the ability to drive profitable growth globally. Change management skills are crucial for success in this position, as well as a curious and detail-oriented mindset. They should possess excellent analytical skills, expertise in driving sales and negotiations with all kinds of stakeholders. Specific market knowledge will be valued.
Job description and missions
As Segment & Solutions Business Developer, your missions will include:
- Adoption of the Segment & Solution approach: in a context of commercial transformation, lead and be responsible for the solutions design and promotion to support sales development & profitable growth by segment in coordination with the sales ops.
- Expand customer base on targeted Segments and Key-Accounts to support regional growth. Manage Multi-Country Strategic Accounts strategy for the overall Enclosures & Thermal Solutions portfolio through deep customer relationship.
- Support the local commercial teams on pre-sales process follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction for tailored VIP projects: liaise with Technical Office for technical features & design, Request for Quotations, Prototypes, partner with supply-chain on quality, supply-chain & industrialization to provide optimum End-to End solutions to the customers.
- Definition of Specification strategy and content to expand global customer base and conversion of End-Users and regional deployment.
- Participate to the segment strategy planning process: define the Unique Value Proposition for Universal Enclosures Line of Business to develop best-in-class solutions, act as consultant for promotional campaigns, support events & fairs to reinforce PPUES visibility (preparation and/or attendance)
Scope of the offer
The scope concerns all Universal Enclosures offers and software with a focus on Project & Solutions to increase the coverage on Multi-Country Key Accounts and develop customized and engineered offers.
Universal Enclosures business includes solutions of electrical cabinets and thermal management for electrical distribution and industrial automation.
Position is based near Barcelona, in Molins de Rei site next to our factories, and reports directly to the Segments & Solutions Business Development Leader.
Traveling is expected.
Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation or Marketing or a related field is likely preferred.
5+ years working in business development activities with knowledge of the industrial processes and solution business applied to electrical distribution and automation & control panels.
Proven Experience in managing and growing sales, especially in a B2B set-up.
Business Acumen on infrastructures for Photovoltaic, Electrical Vehicles and/or Data Centers applications are a plus. Tailored project development & follow-up are expected in these fields.
Ability to convince & influence with interdisciplinary approach to ensure customer satisfaction.
Developing and implementing commercial strategies, including value proposition and content creation roadmaps is expected.
Strong stakeholder management and cross-cultural collaboration, especially in corporate environments, are crucial.
Full professional proficiency in English is required.
Spanish and French are a plus.
